Mapping Flood Vulnerability by Applying EBF And AHP Methods, in the Iraqi Mountain Region

Flood hazards are a member of the world's catastrophic events with hydrological climate origin. They referred to as situation in which river flow and water level increase suddenly cause human financial losses. This research aims determine flood-prone zones evaluate efficacy RS GIS-based evidence-based belief function (EBF) hierarchical analysis (AHP) models area mapping. Using Rezan River basin Mergasor Erbil governorate, Iraq, an example, 11 factors such slope, slope direction, land use, distance stream, road, elevation, soil, rainfall, geology, NDVI, drainage density were utilized for flood moderation. The prediction rates EBF AHP also analyzed be 0.869% 0.836%, respectively, indicating that these two better predictors. findings study revealed 32% is under very high flooding hazard method 22% method. research’s conclusions crucial region management, decision-making, local administrative planning.
